Cleft Palate 3rd Degree and Cleft Lip 3rd Degree
|
Cleft lip is a vertical, usually off-center split in
the upper lip that may be a small notch or may extend up to the
nose. Cleft palate is a gap in the roof of the mouth that runs along
its midline, from behind the teeth to the nasal cavity. The
adoptive family of this child will need to consult with a cleft palate team and
a speech therapist. This toddler's
caretakers report that he can sit with support and responds to sounds.
He eats well and likes to play with his caretakers. He is described
as an outgoing child. Please visit Wide
