This
site covers all forms of Hepatitis. HepNet, The
Hepatitis Information Network.
Interactively learning about hepatitis is a big part of what makes
HepNet so unique. If you are interested in learning more about the
liver itself and it's involvement in viral hepatitis we have The
Liver in Health and Disease, which is an easy to follow
learning module. Eight different slide
presentations will update you on almost everything you need to
know about hepatitis. Six on-line
quizzes can challenge even the very well informed about
hepatitis, including risk factors and recent advances. By checking
HepNet often, you can ensure that you are always up to date with
current hepatitis related issues.

General
Health Issues in Children Adopted Internationally |

International
adoption is a politically sensitive phenomenon. Every year,
thousands of children arrive in the USA from over 100 countries
for adoption. Infectious disease screening of children from these
diverse political, social, and geographic backgrounds is best
accomplished using a standardized protocol, including a review of
immunizations, a complete blood count and urinalysis, and
screening tests for hepatitis B, HIV, intestinal parasite,
tuberculosis and syphilis.

Parasites

parasites/index.html
|
Good
general resource page for information about parasites.
Parasites are the most common health condition in international
adoption. While they can usually be treated easily, they are not
always detected with routine medical exams. Therefore, if you
notice symptoms later on it is advisable that you speak to your
doctor even if your child has been tested for parasites once.
